Pitching: Pitchers will learn the correct pitching mechanics designed to help them increase pitching control and throwing velocity while minimizing stress and strain on the arm. Pitchers will learn how to throw to location, how to set up a hitter and how to pitch in various situations. Pitchers will learn proper arm strengthening and flexibility exercises as well as overall care of the pitching arm. Pitchers will be taught how to utilize flat ground and bull pen work properly as well as how to and warm up correctly.Catching: Players will learn all of the necessary mechanical skills to be a successful catcher. We will help the player develop hand-eye coordination, flexibility, quickness, strength, and a heightened baseball IQ to help a catcher control the game.
Infield: Players will learn how to field a groundball and how to get into the proper throwing position at an advanced level. We will help the player develop footwork and body control by teaching proper routes and angles to fielding a groundball. The player will learn hand quickness and throwing techniques designed to develop consistency when playing infield defense. Outfield: Players will learn proper fielding and throwing techniques to be a successful outfielder. During private lessons, outfielders will work onmechanics and footwork for fielding groundballs, catching line drives, and fly-balls. Hitting: Hitters will learn proper technique, mechanical skills, and mental preparation needed to consistently hit the ball off of the barrel of the bat with backspin to the middle part of the field. We will help improve the hitter's hand-eye coordination, bat speed and strength. Hitters will develop a hitting approach that will help them become successful hitters in different situations and counts.
Strength/Speed/Sports Performance:Players will learn the proper way to increase strength specific to a baseball player...and according to their position. A “cookie cutter” approach is NOT the best way to teach baseball strength training to an individual. Our belief is that each person should be trained according to their body type and goals. Players will learn how to develop strength, increase running speed and reaction quickness which is necessary for their success at the next level.
Video Analysis –We use software which will allow us to video a player hitting or pitching and pause the action at various points in frame by frame sequence (and also slow motion) to see where players are in relation to where successful pro players are in the exact same spot. This is a technology that will help prepare the player to “Play like the Pros”.
